Construction of a new 175,000 sq.ft. Middle School with athletic fields and support spaces. The design is based on a prototype middle school developed by GMB Architects-Engineers for use in an urban setting.
A 27,000 sq.ft. Performing Arts Addition, specifically designed by GMB to fit onto the new building, houses a 750-seat auditorium with space for dressing rooms, scene preparation, control room, lobby and restrooms.
After completing the new middle school, the existing Pattengill Middle School was completely demolished and the site restored to provide new parking and green space.
The project also included renovations at the district’s High Schools and Middle Schools and reconstruction of the football fields and tracks at two High Schools.
